Bonfire Night will happen Saturday November 5, here are places to view the fireworks.

Bonfire night is a time when places around the UK region celebrate Bonfire Night as an annual commemoration of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605.

Many individuals and families celebrate by going to organized events to see the firework light show. Merseyside’s sky is typically filled by bright lights.

However, this year there will be no fireworks at the River of Light this year. Liverpool City council confirmed that their displays are cancelled this year.

Liverpool councilor Harry Doyle said, “Fireworks were never part of our plan for River of Light 2022. We took the decision that it was better to spend our resources on 17 nights of family friendly activity rather than one night of fireworks”.

Events that will take place near Liverpool are in Wirral, Sefton, St Helens, and Halton.

In Wirral, an event will take place at the Future Yard. It is a music venue with live entertainment. Bonfires and fireworks will occur for people to enjoy.

In Sefton, there are many places that will celebrate. Southport Rugby Club, St Peter’s Church in Formby, and Hightown Club. There will be food and live entertainment for everyone.

St Helens will have their celebration at the Totally Wicked Stadium. It is the first time in 2 years that this will take place.

In Halton, displays will happen at Silver Jubilee Bridge for the first time ever.

For many of these places it will be their first time since 2019 that Bonfire Night will be celebrated because previous celebrations were cancelled because of the covid-19 pandemic.

Let us know whether you will participate at any of these locations.
